   Meet Bruno
Age: 4 years
Sex: Male
Dogs: some
(see bio)
Cats: NO!
Children: none preferred
Any Special Needs: no
Location: Chatham, ON
Adoption Fee: $400

Bruno is not the luckiest guy on earth. He's found his way to us not once but twice. Bruno originally came to us in November 2007 from a shelter we work with. He was surrendered to the shelter by a caring landlord because he was left behind when his owners moved if you can imagine. He was adopted by a family in January 2008 but returned in June because of his dominance and some degree of aggression with other dogs. He was adopted out again then turned up in the original shelter we found him in AGAIN in May 2009 (a year ago) and he's been with us ever since.

Bruno is being fostered with a female Boxer who isn't afraid to let Bruno know that he is not the boss and so the two of them get along quite well, however, Bruno does need an experienced and confident owner who will provide him with a regular routine and the leadership he craves. Bruno would not be suited to a home with young children although he is a loving and affectionate boy. But because he likes to try to be the boss on occasion we feel none would be best for Bruno.

Bruno definitely has issues with other dogs, particularly small ones. He is not at all safe around cats or smaller pets. His prey drive instinct is far too well developed. Bruno is extremely well behaved in the house but can be a handful on leash when he sees another dog so a confident handler would be best. No shrinking violets for Bruno!

Because Bruno has had an unstable past we will consider only those families who can offer Bruno the leadership, stability and routine he needs to be successful. Families without another dog will be considered, however, cats and small children are out of the question. Bruno needs to find a place to call home, permanently. However, if you have what it takes you can be sure Bruno will easily become a cherished family member!
