   Domesticated Domi
Age: 7 years
Sex: Male
Dogs: yes, prefer females
Cats: yes
Children: yes
Any Special Needs: no
Location: Oshawa, ON
Adoption Fee: $225.00

Domi is a beautiful brindle neutered male. He will be 7 in July but he sure doesn’t act like an older gentleman. He was surrendered by his family because he and the other male Boxer in the home were not getting along. He currently lives with a female Boxer and they get along famously. Must have been a boy thing!

Domi is a lovely laid back guy who enjoys his daily walks (he walks great on a lead) and loves to be cuddled. He is crate trained and is currently sleeping in the crate at night while he gets used to his new surrounding and his boundaries in our home. He knows his basic commands but he is sometimes a little stubborn. We are working on perfecting his skills with the motivation of some yummy treats.

We have offered him toys and balls but he doesn't seem interested in anything like that. When we are at the park he just loves to run around and sniff. We have discovered that he gets really excited and will bark, jump, and sometimes place his mouth on or our hands when we are playing fetch with our female Boxer so we are working on that. He loves to chase after Stella but has no intention of getting the ball or bringing it back. We are working on his manners in this situation.

We were told Domi can be possessive of his food bowl during feeding time if another dog was to approach. We have not observed this behaviour at our house but we supervise during feeding time (always a good strategy in a multi-dog home). Domi was raised with young children and is an all around great dog.

Domi isn’t necessarily looking for a canine playmate at this point in his life but he doesn't seem to mind the company of another laid back dog. He is an extremely well mannered boy, who has lots of Boxer wiggles and kisses to offer. Perhaps you and your family are the perfect home for Domi?
