   Taz is no devil!

Hi there everyone! My name is Taz but I'm no devil! I am an 8 year old fawn boxer. Although 8 years old is thought to be over the hill for some boxers, I'm not even close to the top of the hill, let alone over it. I have been able to keep up with my new foster brothers easily, even though they are much younger than I am. My foster home has two boxers just like me, and a cat that I get along with very well. I seem to have fit in very well with everyone here. My foster mom brags about how quiet I am even when someone comes to the door. When new people come to the house I let my foster brothers do the hard work by sniffing at them and getting excited. I just wait for the dust to settle and then quietly introduce myself. I am great with everyone, young and old and I'm a real hit at the retirement home that my foster mom works at!! It doesn't really matter who you are, you can be sure that I'll be happy to curl up beside you.

My foster mom also hopes that I'm able to teach my foster brothers a thing or two about walking on a leash. I love to get out there for a walk, and you can be sure that I'll stick by your side the whole time without any pulling at all. I get along with everyone that I meet at the dog park as well.

My perfect new family could easily live in a house or an apartment. I don't take up a lot of space, but as I get older I find that I do need to take a few more bathroom breaks than I used to. It wouldn't hurt to have someone around sometime during the day to let me go pee so that I don't have to try to hold it. Even though I try, there have been a few times that 8 hours were too many for me to hold it. When I first got here I spent my days in a crate while my foster family went to work. It only took a few days for them to realize that it wasn't necessary, now they leave me out during the day, and I just lay there on my bed and wait for them to come home. They keep the place pretty clean, so I don't bother messing it up by chewing things. I like getting out at least once a day, but am not the type that likes to hang out in the cold by myself. I'd be just as happy to sit beside you while you watch TV. Along with walks, I love car rides. In fact, I sometimes forget that I'm a dog, and just sit there in the back seat, just like a person would, looking out at the world going by.

I don't let things get to me, I don't really cry, and if my brothers want to take my toys or food, oh well, I don't let it bother me, I'll just sit down and wait.

I would love to find a family who's looking for a loyal, loveable, obedient friend. Just ask for me, Taz!
