M is for Male. I am a big flashy brindle boy.

O is for Outspoken. If you're looking for a boxer that will tell you a story, then let's meet.

R is for Rollicking and Romping. I can jump straight up and catch any snowball you can throw.

T is for Tromping. When I get excited, I stomp my feet....I am a marching boxer.

I is for Insomnia. Which is something that I will never suffer from because I regularly power-nap - while standing up, sitting or standing and resting my head on things, like a window sill, footstool, your lap.

M is for Maturity. Somewhere between 6 and 8 years old is a perfect age - wisdom to know house rules - but still young enough to jump for joy at the prospects of going for a walk.

E is for Eternally Grateful. I know I'm not a young puppy that can win you over simply with my puppy breath. I know I'm middle age....I know the score. But, I will be eternally grateful for a forever home where I can be warm and loved and secure.

R is for Relationships. I definitely get along with both male and female dogs - I have one of each as foster siblings. I've gotten up close to cats and could probably learn to live with them. I am a boxer from a shelter, so small kids are definitely out - that's the rules with Boxer Rescue. I have an ok relationship with a crate - although I long for the day when I don't have to sleep in one at night.

So, alphabetically speaking, that's me. If you think we'd be a good match, just mention my name in your application.

Hi, My name is Zoey and I’m a flashy fawn female Boxer possibly mixed with Rhodesian Ridgeback. I’m 1.5 years old and was rescued from a very mean family who kept me in a rabbit hutch if you can believe that. Since then my foster parents have brought me in and have shown me nothing but love. They have taught me how to sit, stay, come, and wait! During the day when you are at work I like to stay in my crate because if I’m not in there and you are not around, I like to eat anything around the house. Everything is so tasty!! When you come home I am always happy to see you and ready to love and please you. I love walks and I love to play outside with any dog of any breed. My foster parents have a cat and I’m usually good playing with him. They have taught me to be gentle with small things. Have I said I love to run outside! Oh and I love treats! I need a leash when I go for a walk. I sometimes pull a bit hard but my foster parents are showing me. At night I like to sleep by your bedside or in my crate. I look just like a Boxer but have a little bit of a snout. I even act just like a Boxer, right down to the “Boxer burns” and of course lots of wiggle bums!!!

My foster mom says that I am better than a “real” Boxer in lots of ways……
I can drink water without dripping it from my jowls onto your lap.
I don’t snore, or snort.
I don’t pass nearly as much gas as my “real” Boxer counterparts.

…WAIT…..

I’ve just realized that I’m the best of both worlds!!

Please allow me to introduce myself; I’m a man of wealth and taste. I’ve been around for a long, long year…

Some people tell me that I’m “older” but I think my age comes with its perks. I still enjoy playing with my ball and with my owner, but I’m also content to just sit at your feet as you watch TV. I’m completely housetrained and I am fine being left alone in the house when you are out. I share my toys and food with my people easily, and never growl at them. Sometimes I run away with my ball when they try to take it from me, but that’s just because I want to play chase. My foster mom thinks this is a silly game though, so she is teaching me not to do that. It’s no fun to run away if no one chases after you. You can teach old dogs new tricks, but I am smart enough to check and make sure I get a treat out of it first. I know sit and down, but I am iffy on “down” unless I KNOW you have a treat. That’s just because I’m still learning that command so I like to make sure I will get rewarded for my effort. Also, when there is any sort of food treat involved, I “stay” VERY well. I won’t move a muscle.

I’m good on leash when we are walking alone but I really don’t like passing people or dogs. I need to be walked by someone experienced with dogs, who understands that I act out of uneasiness. My foster mom is trying to teach me that most people who walk past us are really harmless, but it’s taking me some time to understand that. Because of that, I think a quiet neighbourhood would be ideal for me. I can be a bit nervous around people I don’t know, and it may take me a while to warm up to even you, but once I do, I promise my love is worth having.

I’m pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name. But what’s puzzling you, is the nature of my game.

P.S. In case you aren’t a Rolling Stones fan or can’t guess my name … it’s Caspar.

Meet Branko and Brimba - these kids have grown up together and are looking to be placed together. They love each other but Brimba does not like to share her affection with another dog other than Branko. They love to go for car rides, great on leash and very affectionate.

Can you provide a home for this pair.

Love to go for car rides

The pets listed in this section are not in the care of Boxer Rescue Ontario but are posted as a courtesy to other reputable rescues. Please do not contact BRO about these pets but rather the individual rescues identified in each posting. We have no additional information other than what's provided.

first in our hearts - is an 11 month old white boxer puppy who we named Scout. Boxer Rescue Quebec is trying to raise funds for the combined cost of a heart ultrasound that he needs and his corrective eye surgery (approx $800 not includinmg his neuter, heartworm test and meds, deworming etc). This poor guy has a Grade 4 heart murmur and he is looking for a family that is willing to love him regardless of how long he'll be around. He deserves the best! He loves to run and play with other dogs, cuddle on the couch and chew on bones. See more photos and more info on Scout's page. To donate for Scout medical bills please click here.

So spread the word! If you know any great families looking for great boxers - ask them to apply on our website. Or email us with any questions.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the sunshine! Boxer wiggles and kisses to all of you!

Hi! My name is Doc, that’s short for Madoc.

I was left tied to a tree in the woods. I don’t know why but, the person who did it forgot to leave me any food or water for a very long time...I got very skinny. I now live with my foster parents and their furbabies in a nice warm house. My foster mommy makes me stew everyday to go on my kibble to fatten me up, and not to worry I am getting fattened! She tells me that who ever did this to me must have been crazy because I am one loveable guy. She also tells me that I am a true boxer, all squishable and snuggly. I love cuddles and any food. I am good with dogs and cats alike, but I like girl dogs very best. Nobody is too sure how old I am. I have a few grey hairs on my muzzle but I am far from an old guy. I have lots of pep and I love clowning around. Everything is a game and I definitely have no hard feelings from my past. But I think you better hurry if you want to adopt me, my foster mommy really, really loves me....need I say more?
