Looks like the weather is getting nice, and hoping that we can avoid rain days, but we would like to schedule a photo shoot for Saturday May 3rd, starting at 9:30am at the Beaches in Toronto. Looking to get some nice shots with the water in the background etc.

Please post this email out to your groups and post to your websites. Our goal this year is to have all the calendar photo shoots completed by mid-late July.

If you would like to join us at the photo shoot please email me at jego@rogers.com so that I can set up a sitting time for you. Please note your dog does not have to be a rescue, or a specific breed. We will photograph all breeds and the calendar is in support of rescue, so all dogs are welcome.

If you are questioning the weather the morning of the photo shoot please call me 647 226 4607. If the weather is calling for 80% + chance of rain the day before the shoot we will cancel and I will email everyone.

Below are some tips for the day and directions. In bringing your dog to the photo day please bring some items that motivate them, squeaky toys, treats, and a towel if they tend to be drooly. Below are directions to Ashbridges Bay. We will be meeting by the Pizza/Pizza, & Pub that is located by the main parking lot – you will enter the parking area off Lakeshore.

Please try and arrive about 10 minutes prior to your appointment time so your dog(s) can get used to their surroundings.

There is a $5 sitting fee/dog for film & development cost – please note that there is no guarantee that your dog will appear in the calendar if you attend a photo shoot, but it increases the likelihood. We are also hoping to release a 2009 Day-Timer/Agenda, so if your dog does not make the calendar, they will make the Day-Timer.

Ashbridges Bay is located at the foot of Lakeshore & Coxwell. We will be meeting at the east parking lot, so take Lakeshore through the lights at Coxwell, and turn at the next lights for the parking area.

Keep in mind some of these photos will make the 2009 calendar and some will be for the 2010 calendar, but don’t let that put you off, you will see your dog in print!
