Ruby’ s Story
Oct. 21, 2007
Roma writes: I have Ruby.
I think she’s around 3 or 4 years old. She has ear mites I
think and a sore on her feet. She is scared of loud voices and the
outside. She will snap when scared at the other dogs but is fine
when she is feeling more comfortable. She has a growth on her eye
too. A little brown skin tag I think.

Roma writes: Ruby is
fine (here). She was more confident last night then today. We have
to carry her outside and she will pee outside but hasn't pooped
outside yet and has accidents in the house although she hasn't since
this afternoon. I took her out and the other dogs were too much
for her. She is better with just Cooper outside. Both Foreman and
he were too rough I guess. She slept most of the day today and we
still haven't bathed her yet. All the pictures I took of her have
red eye. I will try to get better ones.

Roma writes: Ruby pooped
outside!!!! We were so proud of her last night. She is scared of
the three steps down to the backyard but she can do them. So we
carry her down. Alex and I stood last night with her and she finally
did it!!! Now she is still having accidents and won't go to the
door but since she is older and holds it longer but she pees almost
every time you take her out and had her second poop outside this
morning. Michelle is off on reading week so hopefully this week
we can conquer her house training. Other than that she is the perfect
lady.

Roma writes: Now that
Ruby is staying forever and ever and I can make her into the princess
she truly deserves to be, she is sporting a new pink rhinestone
collar and is making herself at home, sending Cooper to the peasants
quarters.
P.S. Santa has a perfect princess pink fleece blanket with pillow
put away for Christmas already.

Roma writes: She a bit
leery but not aggressive with strangers. I think in time she will
be very friendly. She gets so excited when we come home from work
that she is barking with excitement and her short body beans itself
into a circle.

Roma writes: I bought
Ruby a pink winter coat today and a pink Roots hoodie too. She is
not too fussy on them yet I haven't had a girl dog to dress up in
a long time. You should see her bean so hard every morning while
we are walking out to the kitchen. She can hardly walk since she
is beaning so hard. And yes, she is Alex’s little princess
too.
