Drew, my gentle giant, you had a heart as large as you were. From the moment you entered my life I knew you were destined to be with me. You tested my love at first only to find out that no matter what you did I still loved you. You then opened up your heart to bond with me. You were always at my side. I remember the first time you looked at me and started to talk, I knew then that you had put your full trust in me and would protect me to the best of your ability. |

You learned from Taylor (March 2004) how to be a boxer, ask for treats and play with your bones. Your compassion when she passed was amazing. When Chip (April 2004) became ill your constant vigil over her was truly awesome. I know they are both with you now. When Princess arrived you accepted her totally, becoming great friends, your tolerance to her puppy antics will forever astound me, but she also taught you a few things, like how to wrestle and run as fast as you can through the yard to name a few. Drew, I saved your life twice, once when I adopted you, the other when you fell in the pool. I wish I could have saved you from this. There is forever an empty sofa where you used to lay and a broken heart, mine. Our time was too short, but we spent it well, I will always love and miss you. Drew, if we have learned anything through our time together, it's that nothing beautiful in this world is ever lost - those we cherish will always live on in our hearts and memories.
