Jackie-O

I recall the day that you came bouncing into our lives on October 03rd 1998. We slept downstairs in the living room together because you were only a little over 10 weeks old and missed your litter mates. You grew and became a playmate for Tabitha a faithful friend to all of your family and a great defender of the door when the mailman delivered our mail. In 1999 when Grandma came to live with us you became her faithful companion and while you usually bounced up and down the stairs you would walk slowly behind her because somehow you knew that she was very ill and nervous that you may trip her while she slowly walked up the stairs to the family room.

At Christmas you sat at the head of the Christmas table almost saying that you were the head of the household and funny enough in many ways you were. On that snowy day in January 1999 when your Grandma (my Mom) was in the hospital being called home, you layed on her bed at home for hours, almost to say that you knew she had made that important journey. Little did we know that 7 years to the day you would join Mom and it comforts us to think that together you both crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly and in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories and although we cannot see you; your love is still our guide. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.

We know now that you are with Grandma who shared with you a strong unconditional love. It comforts us to know that the two of you both crossed the Rainbow Bridge together. With love Papa's, Mama's, Tabitha, Uncle Michael, Aunt Christine all of our family and friends who love you and miss you very much. You will always be in our hearts, smiles and memories until we meet again near the Rainbow Bridge.

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Sherry and all the wonderful people at Boxer Rescue who played a special role in Jackie's life.

Love Greg & Stephen.
