A warm breeze blew into our lives not once, not twice but three times.
Tabitha a.k.a “Boo”,was born May 28th, 1991. She was the
runt of the litter of 4 kittens. Sadly her Mother Tiger was hit by a car
just days after having her first litter. Tabitha and her brother Licorice,
both went to their new homes in early July of 1991.
For over 16 years Tabitha was part of the family, she loved to sit on
the back of the sofa observing life at home and perched near a window
watching the birds fly by and the squirrels playing on the lawn in front
of our house.
Back in January of 2006, Tabitha was surprised to meet her new house
mate and soon to be great friend Zipper. Zipper came to us from a farm
in Simcoe County. What was to have been our first attempt
at fostering on behalf of Boxer Rescue, soon became an adoption. Not only
did Tabitha and Zipper share the sofa, the bed and our hearts they also
shared in our lives and those of friends and family. Over the past year
Tabitha battled hyper-active Thyroid disease and this past August, Zipper
was diagnosed with Lymphoma and Leukemia. While both of our pets were
ill they seemed the most content being with each other and always in our
company.
We know that the friendship that they shared is continued now and they
are waiting with Jackie-O, our
first Boxer on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
Until that day, we think of you both and miss you and thank you for your
love and the many memories that you have left in our hearts and minds.
“Some touch your heart and others leave paw prints behind forever”.
Love,
Greg & Stephen.
