BOSLEY AND I

Bosley and I

I opened my home
For a dog who had none.
Five years young
I thought it would be,
His very last one.

He came from Boxer Rescue
So strong and handsome.
I can't believe
They picked me to have him.

I gave him a warm place to sleep
And good food to eat.
He loved to run
And relax in the sun.

He in return gave me
Love and laughter.
Even a small place on the
Couch if that matters.

The time we shared
Went by too fast
Only three and a half years
Not long enough,
I think you'll agree,
Yet God decided his time was here.

Peaceful
Sleeping
At the end he was not alone,
I know now he has his final home.

Once again strong
He can run like the wind
And play all day with his heavenly friends.

We will meet again,
Where there is no cancer.
He's by my side
Together forever
