Capone you came to us just a week before our wedding.

You were the best wedding present a girl could ever ask for. The soon to be groom travels very much on business and you became the man in charge. You were a good companion to me and my border collie Trixie. You were a sweet and gentle soul. I have met many boxers in my life but you were different. At first I thought you didn't have a personality because you were so calm and sometimes vacant. After a month went by the real you came out. The kisses started, the wiggles, the snuggles and my space on the bed became smaller and smaller. Comfort became a big priority for you. You nature was to be friendly to everyone and everything. Pure and simple. You were very uncomplicated. I wish that you had been my boy from a pup but you were a very handsome gentleman of 8 years.

During your stay a new baby came into the picture. I wasn't sure how you would feel about this but once again you were just fine with it. My son had the honor of knowing you. You let him hug you and sleep on you. It was as if you had done this before. You had a spring in your step right to the end. You never let us know that something bad was about to happen. Suddenly, an illness took you from us. The pain of losing you is still difficult to take sometimes. I know that we gave you stability, love and a great home. That is what I have left to hang on to. That and all the wonderful memories.
