What is there that I can say about our gentle giant? He never ever was anything other than the kindest, warmest and friendliest dog that I personally have ever had the pleasure of knowing. When we got him, he had known the roughest of the rough in life and you could just see it in his eyes that for every day he was with us he was thankful, not only for the food and the shelter, but for the love and the time with his new sister Indy. He loved everyone so much, I figure that is why his heart was so big, he just couldn’t possibly love more. |
| I will never forget the happier times for Chance when he and Indy would play and go for walks and run at the dog park. Even though his body was packing it in at the end his mind and his energy went on. I have attached a picture of Chance dressed up this past Halloween. As hard as it is to lose one of these members of your family, it is just as easy to know that we gave him happiness that he may not have had in the beginning of his life. Helping one of these guys see that not all people are mean, or frightening and that there is fun to be had means a great deal to me and Steven.
Indy was very sad when her big brother didn’t come back from the last car ride, she knew deep down what was happening and being as sensitive as she is, did her best to comfort her mommy and daddy.
We love you Chance
Mommy and Daddy.
