In Memory of Tyler - Adopted December, 2002 / Died October 18, 2004

You came to us with a sad face but a big heart. You responded so well to the love and attention we gave you it almost broke our hearts to think you ever had it rough. Your name was Tyson but we knew you weren't that kind of dog and we changed your name to Tyler.

You always had to be in the middle of things. If we were taking out the garbage, you had to follow us to make sure it was done properly. If we were doing the couch potato thing you had to be at the foot of the couch. If we had friends come over you had to make sure they greeted you as well. If we were taking a picture you had to be in it too. If we were out in the back yard you had to be there too. If we were out on the front porch you had to be there too. If we were going for a walk you had to come too. If we were going for a car ride you really had to go too! If we were eating dinner you really became very interested in what we were eating. If we were working around the house you had to be there "helping" us by making sure we noticed you and your very helpful expression.

The sad look in your eyes melted our hearts and made us "forget" the rule about no doggies on couches. You owned every couch in the house and the occasional bed.

The joy and laughter you brought to us will never be forgotten and we miss you so much Tyler. You didn't much like other doggies but you sure loved humans. I'm glad we were able to show you that you could be loved too. Our two kitties miss you too although they never admitted to liking you much. They can now be found sleeping or resting in your favourite spots and most likely wondering where you went.

When you crossed over the Rainbrow Bridge, the only thing that made us feel better is that the last two years of your life were happy and peaceful. We know we gave you a good home and that you were happy with us. However sad your life may have been we hope we made you forget that. You taught us so much about unconditional love. We will always miss you Tyler.

Darlene, Tom and Chris
And don't forget ....
Sylvester and Luca (the two kitties that bossed you around).
