Jazzie has been with us for just under 2 months now, but it seems she has been a part of the family forever.

She has made it very clear that she will be sleeping in our room (in fact if she had it her way she’s be in our bed). In the morning, the moment she sees us move she is on the bed giving us kisses and shaking her helicopter tail! That is our greeting everyday! How can you have a bad day after that?

The moment we mention the words ‘walk’ or ‘go out side’ she does a dance with all her energy and a big smile. While walking, Jazzie likes to pull on the leash but that is slowly changing and she is getting used to letting us take the lead. She loves going to the forest, chasing the squirrels and running in the Credit River. Now that it’s warming up she tries to stay as close to the water as possible for easy access to keep cool.

We bought her two oversized doggie pillows and as much as she enjoys them she prefers to get on top of us and watch TV from there. She follows us around everywhere, even when we move for the smallest things. She will not let us out of her sight, which is just fine with us, as we love to watch her sprawl out on the floor and snore loudly.

Jazzie had stopped growling at guest at the door and now she gets excited meeting our extended family.

Quickly, Jazzie has made three friends that she sees regularly on her walks. The first is a male Boxer who seems to glow when he sees her. Then there is the German Shepherd, who is also a rescue dog and shares that bond. Last but not least, a Golden Retriever from across the street who also loves being around Jazzie and often leaves his porch to walk with her. All in all there isn’t a day that passes and Jazzie does not see one of them and gets to socialize and play.

Jazzie has melded with us so well it’s hard to imagine life without her. click for enlarged i

Benz

Here is a little update on Benz

Benz went to vet today and he is down to 79lbs and the vet feels that is a good weight for him. He has fit in just great, seems to like s.o.s pads, that is all he has touched.

He thought he would like to eat a puppy brown lab at the vet today, first time I have seen him act like that. I haven't had him around small dogs, maybe he just doesn't like them? Since he has lost his weight he just love to run in the field with Big Lou, they have a blast. He has alot of similar habits as Maestro did. He has been alot of fun.
