Boxer Rescue Ontario is a registered Canadian charity that began rescuing boxers in 2000 and since then has been helping boxers in need find safe, screened forever homes.

The dogs in rescue are usually homeless through no fault of their own. Generally they are surrendered directly by their previous owners or come through shelters that are happy for any help they can get.

Once in our program, the boxers are assessed and provided any needed medical attention. In addition to assessing dogs, we spend a lot of time and effort scoping potential homes. Each dog is an individual with it’s own needs. We do our best to match it with it’s new permanent family. To promote responsible pet ownership all dogs are spayed or neutered.

Like other rescue groups our work relies on the generosity of our volunteers and the public. We ask adopters for a standard donation that helps mitigate our extensive vet costs, which average approximately $10,000-$14,000 a month, but in the end we rely almost exclusively on fundraising and your donations!
