  • Description/Info:: came to us from a shelter in another province because his owners "did not have time for him" which was very obvious when he came to us in the condition he was totally matted - the Drs could not even extend his legs without causing him pain.
Finn was neutered and then we thought ready to go, but unfortunately like so many of the dogs we get in that are in the kennel he hit his tail on the walls and then after trying twice to save it we had to remove it.
Finn was kept in a blocked off room we were told and had lived in a home with a 14 month old, an 8 year old and a 10 year old but we do not think he had much to do with the children because he is dog that has had no training before coming to us.
Finn walks nicely on a halti, he is now crate trained, and housebroken but he is a teenager and needs to have a home with structure and routine.
He was in a foster to adopt home, but the small dog in the home did not appreciate his puppy play so they had to return him so their older doggie was not stressed out.
What type of home does Finn need? Well he is a hyper fella so one that is active - backyard to run in would be great for him - he can be with other stable dogs but he is the typical younger brother when he first goes in the home so he will have to be told he cannot be bothering the other dog all the time.
We want his next foster to adopt home to be his last home as he has been through enough and he deserves a family that will give him the training that he needs.
No small children right now as he does like to jump when stimulated - he just hasn't had a chance to learn how to be a dog yet.
If you think Finn would match your home and you are used to Poodle crosses please fill out a foster to adopt application on our website at www.boxerrescueontario.com
